Reuse & Compliance Solutions

Reuse Wastewater • Meet Compliance • Protect the Environment

At SWAS Consultants, we specialize in designing, installing, and maintaining reliable Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) that treat and recycle domestic and industrial wastewater. Our systems help reduce environmental impact, meet statutory discharge norms, and conserve water through efficient recycling for non-potable applications.

What is a Sewage Treatment Plant?

A Sewage Treatment Plant is a facility that processes wastewater from households, commercial buildings, and industries to remove contaminants, organic matter, and pathogens. The treated water can then be safely discharged or reused for applications like gardening, flushing, cooling, or irrigation.
Our STPs are designed to meet CPCB and State Pollution Control Board regulations and can be customized based on load, space, and discharge requirements.

Key Process Stages

  • Preliminary Treatment: Removes large debris through screening and grit chambers to protect equipment

  • Primary Sedimentation: Allows solids and grease to settle or float, separating sludge and scum

  • Secondary Treatment: Breaks down organic matter using:

    • Activated Sludge Process (ASP) – continuous aerated biological degradation

    • Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) – batch processing with aeration and settling

    • Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) – compact biofilm carriers promote efficient treatment

    • Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) – integrates membrane filtration for high-quality effluent

  • Tertiary Treatment (Optional): Further removes nutrients, pathogens, and particulates using media filters, disinfection, or membrane polishing

Types of STPs We Offer

We offer both conventional and advanced treatment systems:

Activated Sludge Process (ASP)

Widely used biological treatment method. Ideal for medium to large-capacity installations.

MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor)

Compact & highly efficient. Requires minimal operator intervention.

SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactor)

Batch-wise treatment ideal for fluctuating load conditions.

MBR (Membrane Bio-Reactor)

Combines membrane filtration with biological treatment. Delivers high-quality treated water fit for reuse.

Sludge Conditioners & Dispersants

Keep suspended solids in check and ensure efficient blowdown without sludge buildup.

More about Boiler Water Treatment Services

Quality Service, Crystal Clear Results

STPs play a critical role in:

  • Reducing Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), and Total Suspended Solids

  • Protecting water bodies from contamination and eutrophication

  • Recovering treated water for reuse in flushing, irrigation, cooling, and cleaning

Properly functioning STPs significantly reduce pollution and conserve precious freshwater resources

Our selection of STP technologies is tailored to specific site needs:

  • ASP – Proven, cost-effective for large continuous flows

  • SBR – Ideal for variable loads; efficient batch control

  • MBBR – Compact and low-maintenance with robust shock load tolerance

  • MBR – Delivers ultra-clean water suitable for reuse, ideal for space-constrained sites
